Ares (fighting bot)

Goal: I wanted to compete with my sisters after watching the show BattleBots to see who would win. Spoiler: we liked our robots too much to actually fight with them and want to break them!

I was not very good at software when I made Ares, however I this was my first real dabble into hardware engineering. Using the Arduino, my older sister helped me code and wire (I knew that the red wires and black wires connected to a battery made motors move but I didn't know any logic behind circuitry yet)

The spinning blade at the front, connected to a small DC motor, was attached to a small, cut piece of aluminum metal HVAC strapping. Unfortunately, I did not know what torque was at the time so whenever the blade hit anything substantial it would stop the DC motor. That is probably good for safety anyway though.
